Prior to his retirement on November 1, 2020, after 30 years with GE, Robert Jones most recently held the position of Senior Executive, Human Resources for GE Aviation’s Global Engineering organization, supporting teams in the U.S., India, Mexico, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Brazil, Czech Republic, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and China. Before joining GE Aviation, he spent 14 years in GE Capital, including in the role of Executive HR Business Partner for the Sales Finance P&L, which was subsequently spun-off as part of Synchrony Financial. He started his career in GE Plastics’ industrial diamond business, where he spent 7 years. Robert served on the GE Corporate Diversity Council and as Global Operating Leader for the company’s African American Forum during his time with the company.
He has been recognized for his community leadership by National Dental Association, Wesley Center, Young Scholars Program and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Currently, he serves on the board or advisory councils of Talbert House, Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio, University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business and Alloy Growth Labs. Robert also serves on the investment advisory committee for Cincinnati's Minority Business Accelerator Fund.
Residing in Cincinnati, Ohio, he has a bachelor’s degree from Fairmont State University and a master’s from West Virginia University. Robert also is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
As part of his next chapter, he is excited to further engage in the innovative startup industry and continue to grow his family’s venture investment portfolio.
Cleo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from University of California at Los Angles (UCLA) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Ohio State University. Upon graduation, she spent time working as a Budget Analyst for Hughes Aircraft in Los Angles, California. Hughes was initially acquired by General Motors in 1997, followed by being purchased by Raytheon in 1997 and Boeing in 2000. Following her time at Hughes Aircraft, Cleo held the position of Financial Analyst for Bank One in Columbus, Ohio. Bank One was acquired by JP Morgan Chase in 2004.
When her son Austin was born, she chose to become a full-time homemaker. She played a significant role in Austin’s development and growth over the years, leading to his graduation from undergraduate and graduate school, along with the subsequent launch of his professional career. She is excited about growing her knowledge in the venture capital and startup industry and partnering with her husband to grow the family’s venture investment portfolio.
She is active in Church activities and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
